So, you have a great idea that you need to turn into reality. This could be a creative project, putting on an event, pitching a research idea or setting up a new business or a social enterprise.

The good news is that there’s money available for investment. But the chances are you’ll need to convince someone that your project is worth investing in.

Take Arts Council England.  Between now and 2022, they’ll invest £1.45 billion of public money from government and an estimated £860 million from the National Lottery in grants to  support the creative industries.  Or you could apply for a government-backed Start Up Loan  to start or grow your business.

The questions these funding organizations will ask you are based on the universal principles of project management. To answer them you’ll need to know what those principles are and how they work. And getting funding is just the first step…

Creative PM is  a deliberately simple, fast-moving way of managing creative projects. It covers all the essential principles including:

Our individual workshops take you through the steps of Creative PM that you’ll need to take to turn your idea into reality.


The first workshop is free. It’s called “are you ready for the challenge?” and we can do it face to face or online. The aim is to help you decide if your project is viable before you commit a lot of time and effort. We’ll help you to:

  • clarify your creative idea
  • set out your goals
  • spot potential problems
